Our Coffee Origins

The MorBeans Café Range has been crafted & perfected over several years to bring you the very best flavours made from the finest ingredients.

Our beans are predominately sourced from Asia, South & Central America from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ plantations with an expert team overseeing the process from planting the green coffee seeds, through to harvesting, picking, roasting and packing the different blends.

Our Roasting and Packaging Process in East Anglia

We work alongside an independently owned coffee roasting and packing facility, right here in East Anglia. Our local roasting facilities enables you to visit the roastery for product creation, mixing and matching blends to create the best coffee combination for your needs, with individual coffee blends roasted to customers own specifications and requirements. From Artisan blends roasted through a small batch Probat Micro roaster to larger batch quantities we work directly with you to ensure consistency across all batches of coffee regardless of the size, and our flexibility on pack formats and order size allows you to order bespoke branded packaging for your individual blends if required.

Stringent controls

From planting the initial seed for the next crop of coffee beans to their arrival at the roastery, a team of professional in-house Q graders, quality control officers and highly experienced roaster operators are on hand throughout every part of the process to ensure every cup of MorBeans or bespoke roasted coffee is consistently delicious. Throughout the coffee chain, stringent controls are in place to make sure your coffee beans are at their best from bean to bag including the following:

All Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, Organic and other speciality certified coffees are kept segregated to ensure certifications are not compromised.

Every raw coffee delivery is checked for any possible defects and to confirm consistency amongst the batch.

HACCP accredited. All samples are checked for bean defects, moisture content, sample roasting and cupping where the sight, smell & taste of the beans are all checked for consistency. If at any of these stages the beans do not meet exacting quality requirements the coffee will be rejected.

Coffee beans will only enter production once approved by an in-house Q Grader.

Each coffee batch roasted utilises the skills of in-house uniquely experienced roasting professionals alongside scrupulous maintenance of the roasting equipment to prevent a build-up of coffee oils which can prevent the coffee roasting to its full potential.

State of the art quality control systems and testing equipment including a de-stoner and metal detectors in the roasting areas ensure all beans reach you in the very best conditions.

Final packaging checks including roast date, batch, grind, and label quality are performed on all orders, with Nitrogen gas flushing on all lines (except hand packed) products to preserve freshness.
